So how do you mash up real-world adventure with virtual escape? You create Marriott Bonvoy Land in Fortnite, a place where adventure meets gaming and expectations are long since left in the rear-view mirror.
Journey
Building Marriott Bonvoy Land—a brand new island experience in Fortnite—meant designing four gamified hotels, each with its own twist. Players spawn into Marriott Bonvoy Park, the central hub, and set out on a journey through four different hotel brands:
- Autograph Collection: Players hunt for treasure, seeking out keys like a hotel guest on a mission.
- Westin: An obstacle course designed to showcase Westin’s commitment to wellness proves fitness can be fun.
- Moxy: A Prop Hunt social game invites one team to hide as everyday objects while the other team tries to find them.
- W Hotels: A maze sends players to search for clues and navigate the space in true W style.
